History
The Start
The company was established in 2001 following the need for an
intelligence database shared between football clubs to combat the increasing
problem of hooliganism at football grounds. The orginal product '
SpecIntell'
was born out of this which has proved to be highly successful at a number of
clubs in dealing with fan mis-behaviour and in reducing the costs of football
policing at participating grounds too.
The Concept
Merlins Web software is written to the customers
specification. We write software which does exactly what you want it to.
So often we hear from people using competitors products that they have to accept
what the suppliers can give them, we work from the opposite direction and
wherever possible work with the actual end user of the software. Where
this is not possible we use an experienced intermediary who will sit with the
end user as and when time permits and convey their needs to our programmers.
Software is only released when it does what the customer wants, not what we
think they want.
Development
We know that even when we work directly with an end user
that they cannot always think of everything they need software to do and accept
that there will be a period of time where other requirements are needed.
Merlins Web is happy to adjust and add to software for a period of time
after supply to customers at no extra cost until it is exactly as it is needed.
